Award Winner: Quality Care
Quality Care Rehab & Autism Center was honored with the Michigan Works! Race to Talent Registered Apprenticeship Champion Award, recognizing their exemplary commitment to workforce development through innovative apprenticeship programs in Macomb County.
This prestigious award, presented at Race to Talent™ events, celebrates employers who demonstrate exceptional dedication to implementing Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs), which combine paid on-the-job training with technical instruction to build a skilled, industry-specific workforce.
By registering the county’s first behavioral health technician apprenticeship and developing four additional programs, Quality Care has successfully upskilled 26 apprentices, strengthening the healthcare talent pipeline. The award highlights their role in fostering career pathways and addressing critical labor shortages, aligning with Michigan Works! mission to promote RAPs as a cost-effective strategy for recruiting, training, and retaining talent across diverse industries.
"The partnership between Macomb Community College and Quality Care Rehab & Autism Center is a model for how educational institutions and employers can work together to create opportunities for individuals in high-demand health care fields while addressing workforce needs."

Employee Recognition
Our very own employees Chrestina & Eliza were featured in a LinkedIn post from Michigan Works! Macomb/St. Clair in celebration of Apprentice Day!
Chrestina started her apprenticeship with no experience in behavioral health and a lot of questions. She worked hard, asked for help, and committed herself to learning everything she could.
With guidance from her mentor, Joseph, she earned multiple certifications and became a Registered Behavioral Technician. She also completed courses in emergency response, HIPAA, legal ethics and integrative behavioral health.
Now she's planning her future in psychology and looking ahead to more education and impact in the field.

Eliza always knew she wanted to continue her education, but the cost made it hard to move forward. Through her apprenticeship in medical billing and coding, she found a better path.
With support from Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works!, her employer and her college, she is gaining skills in scheduling, Microsoft Office and health care coding—all while working toward her Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.
Eliza is building a career in health care administration with a clear plan and strong support system guiding her forward.
